Tiffany's is locally owned by Stephen and Tiffany Freeman, who started selling cabinets and flooring out of their basement in 2006. The business has grown to a 6000 sq. ft. showroom with many beautiful displays, and has been at the current location since May 2007. In-house granite fabrication is our specialty; we keep the largest selection of granite slabs for miles around. 1. Can I personally pick out the granite or marble slabs I want?
Yes, we have several popular slabs here for you to choose from, as well as a nice display of samples. We also encourage you to drive to Kansas City and visit our suppliers' slab warehouses as well. We just ask that you let us know when you would like to do so, allowing us to alert them of your arrival.
2. I've heard that granite is hard to take care of; is this true?
No. Granite should be treated with the same amount of care as any countertop. The owner may choose to seal their granite once a year, but it may not be necessary to seal that often. The porosity of the granite will determine how often you may want to seal it. Tiffany's can recommend to you how often to seal your particular granite. As with any countertop surface, you will want to use cutting boards and coasters, and not set anything hot directly onto the surface. Warm water and a mild dish soap should be all you need to clean; no harsh abrasives should be used on granite or marble, no bleaches or citrus-based cleaners should be used on granite as these may damage the finish.
